About the Goblins
Missus Goblin has spent much of her adventure helping others grow.
Originally from Northern California, she earned her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena before going on to teach learners of nearly every age, including high school students, which she insists was an intentional career decision. She holds both Multiple Subject and Special Education teaching credentials from the State of California.
She has always tended the soil, cared for the roots, and helped people grow (including her Operator). Whether she's patching someone up with first aid, winning every thumb war in perpetuity, or nurturing an ever-expanding jungle of plant babies, she's happiest making the world a little kinder. Also, she makes a mean loaf of sourdough.
The Goblin Operator is a retired government wearer-of-many-hats with an unfortunate and incurable habit of trying to help.
His career ranged from emergency COVID response as a state-certified Public Information Officer during one once-in-a-lifetime event to years in Child Support Services, first as a case officer and later as an information systems analyst and technical communicator. If helping one more kid meant doing it all over again though, he probably would (yes… he would).
These days, he's happiest having porch coffee with his Missus, loving his cherished people, helping old dogs, telling stories, and building odd little systems that save other people time, frustration, and energy.
Life comes at us fast, he'll rant. It comes at us Ferris-style. Maybe that's the point.

We also believe in saying the quiet parts out loud.
Sometimes... that's exactly what someone needed to hear.

What is life without whimsy, the goblins demanded! Boring? yes. Perhaps more dull? Well with no whimsy? Of course. And all of this coming from a Goblin King?! Now that was saying something. Here’s the secret, though: Because we make it home, always. Because we do the best we can with what we know at the time, always. We help others when it costs nothing and we love just as hard when it might cost a little more, my little operators. Always find the fire. Inside. Outside. Near your cherished peoples and good old dogs.
We make it home. And we cannot help but help along the way.
This is all we can ever do, and if you do? Going to be pretty hard to look back and be unhappy about a life lived well, operators.
